Riyadh is a petroleum engineer with 30 years of experience in the Petroleum industry. He has been instrumental in transforming PDO’s (Petroleum Development Oman) management of its Wells and Reservoirs through the adoption of Lean methodology. This is very unique in the industry, and has resulted in PDO achieving world-class operational and business performance levels, and being recognized by numerous industry awards regionally and internationally.
Riyadh’s biggest contribution to PDO and the industry is Nibras; a digital-oil-field business solution. Through applying Lean principles, Riyadh spearheaded the growth of Nibras to become the nervous system of PDO: used to (so far) manage 15 assets, over 8,000 wells, 50% of its reservoirs and over a 1,000 surface facility equipment, through 1,900 users from 5 different disciplines. Nibras today saves 40% of the time of PDO engineers, reduces HSE exposure of field staff by at least 10% and generates 5% extra production from PDO.
In 2018 Riyadh became the CEO of iNNOVATEQ, the first ever commercialization of a PDO innovation. iNNOVATEQ’s mission is to help companies accelerate their digital transformation journey through offering them Nibras and the learnings from PDO. This is also a national initiative which aims to enhance Oman’s reputation as an innovation hub and generate ICV (In-Country Value) for Oman.
Riyadh has a B.S. in Chemistry from San Diego State University; and an M. Eng. and Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
A Digital Oilfield consultant with 21 years of experience in the domain, gained in a variety of organizations. Started as a developer and deployment of solutions mainly for Shell. Nowadays, his core expertise lies in architecting Digital Platforms which is knowledge he has gained while leading the development team of PDO’s in-house Digital Transformation Platform (Nibras), which serves over 1,900 users today. His educational background is a master in electromechanical engineering that helps finding the right balance between IT and automating business processes deployed across different disciplines.
It’s his aspiration to increase business efficiency significantly in different industries around the globe so that staff of large companies can focus on generating more value in their core business rather than spending time on collecting the right data.
He has a family with 2 teenage daughters who love horse riding every couple of weeks. Wim himself likes to get some fresh air after work and grabs his running shoes or mountain bike if there is a bit more time. He never says no to a good dinner with friends and family in a nice scenery.

Having worked in leadership positions during the past 20 years with regional and international Information Technology organizations, Mohammad constructed a resonant wide and diverse experience in business management, innovation and development, reflecting pioneering proficiency in business digital transformation, addressing the challenges business leaders are facing integrating and incorporating changes to their ventures.

Before joining iNNOVATEQ’s Leadership team, Mohammad was leading Microsoft’s Enterprise Services in Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, and 2 years back, at the early stage of iNNOVATEQ’s operations he joined iNNOVATEQ leading the Commercial Division on a global scale , bringing an insightful perspective to commercialize Nibras as a World-Class digital innovation, disrupting business culture of today , and into becoming a global industry standard.
